Teknofay Ceramic Tile Adhesive

Product description

Application Instructions
Surface Quality: Surfaces should be clean, smooth, solid, free from all kinds of dust, oil, dirt, rust, mold oil, detergent, etc. Surfaces should be level, weak parts should be removed. If there are cracks or cavities on the floor or wall where the application will be made, they should be repaired with appropriate TEKNOREP repair mortars. Teknofay application should be started after 3-4 days.

Surface Preparation: If the application will be made on marble, ceramic and palletite, the surfaces should be roughened. The concrete floor should be moist but there should be no water puddle. It is recommended to use a primer on surfaces such as aerated concrete, exposed concrete, plasterboard.

Mixing: Take 7-7.5 lt. from normal ambient temperature into a clean container free of all kinds of non-adhesive substances. clean, clear water is poured. Teknofay, which is in powder form and in 25 kg bags, is emptied into a container filled with water. The product is mixed with a low-speed mixer until a homogeneous mixture without lumps is obtained. The mortar obtained at the end of the process should be rested for 3 minutes and mixed again for 1-2 minutes until it becomes homogeneous.

Application Notes / Limitations
• If there is a dusty surface (engop) behind the ceramic, it should be cleaned by washing with a hard brush.
• The prepared mortar is spread on the surface with a notched trowel with suitable tooth size. Coating materials (ceramic, tiles, etc.) should be adhered on the combed mortar within 15 minutes. If this time has passed, the mortar should be scraped from the surface and coatings and discarded. It should be applied by making ready mortar again.
• The product may cause irritation in contact with the skin. Work clothes, protective gloves, masks and goggles should be used. Before starting work, a protective cream can also be applied to the hand.
• In case of contact with the eyes, the eyes should be immediately washed with warm water and a doctor should be consulted.
• It must be protected under (+) 5°C ambient conditions, it must be covered with nylon or heat insulation plates must be laid to prevent the product from being exposed to frost.
• It must be protected at temperatures above (+) 35°C, it must be covered with nylon or heat insulation plates must be laid to prevent the product from being exposed to sudden water loss.
• Joint filling should be started at least 24 hours after Teknofay application.
• Do not add foreign matter.
• After the application, it should be protected against adverse weather conditions such as direct sunlight, strong wind, high air temperature (over +35°C), rain and frost. Before Teknofay is fully cured and hardened, hands should be cleaned with water and detergent.
• Equipment should be cleaned with water immediately after the application, before it hardens. After the product hardens, it should be cleaned by mechanical methods.

Storage Conditions / Shelf Life
It should be stored in its unopened original package, in a cool and dry environment, protected from frost.
